Police register case over stone pelting at house after polling in Kochi
Kochi: Vazhakulam police registered a case after a Manjalloor native filed a complaint alleging that stones were pelted at his house after the polling for the assembly elections ended on Thursday. He raised suspicion that it was a repercussion for not permitting LDF to use his property's boundary wall for election campaign. The complainant, Rijo Chacko, said in his complaint that graffiti supporting the LDF candidate was painted on his wall without his consent. It was erased after he objected. He alleged in the complaint that the accused, purportedly LDF workers, arrived on a two-wheeler and verbally abused him around 8.30pm. Later, at around 12am, men on two motorcycles pelted stones at the house, broke a window glass and caused damage. Police said an investigation was launched, but the suspects were not yet identified.
