Narrow escape for scooter riders as car rams them

Kochi: Three scooter riders had a narrow escape after a car went out of control and rammed the vehicles in Elamakkara on Thursday.Visuals of the accident, that have been widely shared on social media, show three scooters slowing down seeing the SUV rushing towards them. The vehicle hit them, even pushing one person on the bonnet for a distance. Elamakkara police said they were yet to get hospital intimation or a formal complaint. "We will collect statements of vehicle owners and register a case if they have a complaint," said an officer. He added that at least one among the scooter riders sustained an injury to his leg. tnn
