Palakkad: Palakkad witnessed a strong voter turnout in the assembly elections, with polling exceeding 80% in six constituencies. Among the total 12 constituencies, Chittur recorded the highest polling, while Thrithala saw the lowest.
According to Election Commission's latest figures, Palakkad registered an overall polling percentage of 80.61%, marking an increase of over 3% compared to previous elections. The turnout was 77.85% in 2021 and 78.37% in 2016.

The district ranks second in the state in terms of voter turnout, with Kozhikode securing the top position.
Chittur constituency reported the highest polling at 84.63%, one of the highest in the state. In other key constituencies, Palakkad recorded 82.33%, followed by Malampuzha (81.89%), Nenmara (81.43%), Mannarkkad (80.77%) and Kongad (80.28%).
Meanwhile, Pattambi (79.44%), Shoranur (79.02%), Ottapalam (79.28%), Tarur (79.07%) and Alathur (79.83%) recorded similar levels of polling. Thrithala reported the lowest turnout in the district at 78.73%.
