Jayarajan alleges nepotism spree
Kozhikode: CPM’s M V Jayarajan alleged in a news conference that KPCC president and electricity minister Sunny Joseph had a history of awarding key posts to his relatives through backdoor appointments. Jayarajan alleged that over the past three decades, 10 of Joseph’s closest relatives were given jobs ‘politically’, as the minister stated, in various institutions. None of these were obtained on merit; all were backdoor appointments. Jayarajan said and released the details of 10 relatives who ‘who got appointments politically’. Jayarajan said that Joseph’s three siblings were given appointments in Kannur co-operative bank. Joseph’s brother-in-law and siblings of his wife are also on the list released by Jayarajan. Jayarajan also alleged that one of his daughters was given appointment to Karassery cooperative bank while another daughter was given MBBS admission in Pariyaram medical college in 2006 when UDF govt was in power.
