KANPUR: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly held hostage for four days, subjected to rape, and pressured to convert her religion in a village under the jurisdiction of Sajeti police station.
After registering a case, the woman was sent for medical examination, and the accused was taken into custody.
Late Sunday, the victim's father told Sajeti police his daughter went missing on April 28 and he had filed a missing report.
He claimed that she was later found held hostage at Irshad alias Abdullah's house in Baripal and freed by him and his son.
The woman alleged the accused barged into her house, abducted her and held her for four days. During this time, he allegedly raped her, pressured her to convert and threatened her with dire consequences.
