Four arrested for betting on IPL

Kanpur: The Mainpuri police arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in betting on IPL matches, on Wednesday.The four miscreants, identified as Jitendra of Kanpur, Abhishek Chauhan and Abhishek Kumar, besides Suraj Singh, all locals of Mainpuri, were accepting bets on the IPL matches.Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided a house in the Mohalla Agarwal locality and arrested the accused persons while accepting bets on IPL match on Wednesday evening, police on Thursday said.Police have seized computers, huge cash and mobile phones from their possession. An case was registered at Kotwali police station and all the four were later sent to jail.
