Kanpur: Workers , of two factories making plastic sack rolls, protested for a hike in salary in Pancham Apurva, Kanpur, prompting police to reach the spot and calm the situation.
On Monday around 9:30 am, the employees started protesting for a salary increase and raised slogans against the management.
The management tried to pacify the workers, but the unrest continued until a large police force arrived and persuaded them to settle down.
DCP (West) SM Qasim Abidi said demands for a salary increase were made at the two factories in the Jhunjhunwala compound. “We have explained the situation to the workers, and they have temporarily agreed.”
