CDO conducts surprise inspection at govt school
Kanpur: Chief development officer, Abhinav J Jain, on Tuesday made a visit to the Primary School Katri, Shankarpur, for a surprise inspection.
The CDO directly interacted with the students from the higher and upper primary at the school, and assessed the quality of education imparted to the students.
He also inspected the quality, hygiene and nutritional standards of the mid-day meal while dining with the students, and interacted with them about the school environment and facilities.
He also reviewed student attendance registers, teachers’ attendance records and notebooks of children. Children were also asked to read from textbooks, solve questions on the blackboard and demonstrate their linguistic and mathematical skills.
Teachers were instructed to regularly monitor the progress of every student and ensure timely checking of notebooks.
The CDO directed officials and teachers to further improve sanitation in classrooms, school premises and restrooms, emphasizing that children must have access to a clean and positive environment.
Appreciating activity-based learning and the use of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs), the CDO asked teachers to effectively implement the objectives of the NIPUN Bharat Mission.
