All schools closed up to Class VIII till May 31

Kanpur: In view of the extreme heat conditions, the district administration on Tuesday ordered closure of all the schools in Kanpur Nagar district from pre-nursery to Class VIII till May 31, 2026.

“Summer vacations are hereby declared with immediate effect in all schools within the Kanpur Nagar for the period extending up to May 31, 2026,” the administration said.

The administration took this step in view of the health and safety of students amidst the adverse weather conditions.
