3 city girlsselected in UP cricket team

Kanpur: Three girls from the city have been selected in the Uttar Pradesh Under-15 team for the One-day Cricket Championship, scheduled to be held in Kolkata from Jan 2, 2026.Priti Hazaria, Anushri Kashyap and Kavya Bandoh of the Kanpur Cricket Association (KCA) have made it to the main squad, while Pari Yadav has been selected as a standby. KCA secretary Kaushal Kumar Singh said Priti was also selected last year, while this will be the first-ever state appearance for Anushri and Kavya. KCA chairman Dr Sanjay Kapoor, president SN Singh and former international player Rita Dey congratulated the girls and wished them success. Wrestling trial: The selection trial for the district- and divisional-level junior girls' wrestling team will be held at Raj Narayan Khel Vikas Sansthan, Lalhepur, Udaipur, Kanpur, on January 1 at 10 am and 12 noon.
