Government teacher among 3 dummy candidates held in Jodhpur

Three dummy candidates were arrested at three different examination centres in Jodhpur on the first day of REET on Saturday. One of them is a government teacher, who had allegedly agreed to write the paper as a dummy candidate in exchange for a whopping 3 lakh. CP (West) Gaurav Yadav said police checked 15 REET candidates at different centres after receiving inputs and three of them were found appearing as dummy candidates.

JODHPUR: Three dummy candidates were arrested at three different examination centres in Jodhpur on the first day of REET on Saturday. One of them is a government teacher, who had allegedly agreed to write the paper as a dummy candidate in exchange for a whopping 3 lakh.DCP (West) Gaurav Yadav said police checked 15 REET candidates at different centres after receiving inputs and three of them were found appearing as dummy candidates. "The dummy candidate arrested at the ITI centre is a government teacher from Barmer named Junjharam Bishnoi, who had been appearing for one Prem Prakash Bishnoi," said Yadav.Junjharam works as a government teacher at Dhorimanna in Barmer. Prem Prakash, who also belongs to Barmer district, had allegedly struck the deal for 3 lakh. Junjharam Bishnoi had been selected in service in 2019."The application form for Prem Prakash had been filed using Junjharam's photo, which means they had planned it well in advance. Prem Prakash is yet to be arrested," said Yadav.Two other dummy candidates arrested at the REET centres at Ummed Kanya School and Vidhya Public School have been identified as Dinesh Gurjar and Mahesh Bishnoi.DCP (East) Amrita Duhan said one of them was caught while entering the examination centre as he failed to provide his date of birth when asked, while the other was caught while writing the paper at the examination centre.
She said that Dinesh was preparing for competitive examinations and had agreed to appear in REET in place of one Vikas Bishnoi in return of money. Mahesh had appeared for Ravitash Bishnoi. "We have sent the teams to arrest both Vikas and Ravitash", added Duhan.
