Ajmer: Police detained around six Youth Congress members, including district president
Mohit Malhotra, Friday ahead of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city. They were released Saturday afternoon.
The detentions followed a Feb 26 protest outside the district collectorate, where the Youth Congress had announced plans to demonstrate during the PM's visit. Malhotra was first placed under house arrest Friday morning before being taken to a police station. Others detained included Sagar Meena, Akhbar and two members picked up by Ramganj police.

After his release, Malhotra alleged the BJP was trying to "suppress the voice of common men."
