Jaipur:
Rajasthan launched their campaign in the Swami Vivekananda Under-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2026 in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, in style. The U-20 tournament is being organised by the All India Football Federation.
Rajasthan performed brilliantly in their first group match, defeating Andhra Pradesh 2-0 in a well-contested contest. Rajasthan’s Anshuman opened the account early in the 8th minute to give them a 1-0 lead. Rajasthan maintained the slender lead till half-time.
Rudrapratap scored a brilliant goal in the 70th minute of the second half, giving Rajasthan a strong 2-0 lead.
Thereafter both teams failed to score any goal till the final whistle.
Rajasthan’s next league matches will be against Jharkhand on May 13, against Bihar on May 15, and against Meghalaya on May 17. Rajasthan Football Association president Manvendra Singh Jasol, RFA secretary Dilip Singh Shekhawat, and all the officials and players of the association congratulated them on the victory.
