State nods for 4 new offices to ease power issues

Jaipur: The state govt has approved four new assistant engineer (electricity) offices under Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JVVNL), including Prithviraj Nagar (North and South) and Narayan Vihar as well as Todra in Sawai Madhopur.

The approval includes creation of four assistant engineer posts, aimed at strengthening power infrastructure and ensuring faster resolution of consumer complaints in these rapidly expanding localities. The move follows a Budget 2026–27 announcement, with the finance department now clearing the proposal and JVVNL issuing operational orders.

Narayan Vihar and Prithviraj Nagar (North) subdivisions will fall under Jaipur City Circle (North), while Prithviraj Nagar (South) will come under Circle (South).
