Jaipur: The Jaipur traffic police launched an awareness campaign Monday, urging two-wheeler riders to wear helmets and choose ISI-certified protection to reduce deaths in road crashes. The drive was inaugurated near the Yadgar headquarters of the traffic wing by DC Traffic Yogesh Goyal, who underlined the administration's focus on preventing avoidable fatalities."The state govt is extremely sensitive regarding the issue of road accidents. In this context, the traffic police regularly conduct awareness drives to prevent such mishaps. The fatality rate in accidents is significantly higher when two-wheeler riders do not wear helmets, and the role of a helmet is paramount when it comes to saving a rider's life," stated Goyal. At the Yadgar intersection, riders arriving without helmets were stopped and counselled on safe riding practices, the risks of head injuries, and the need for certified gear. After the briefing, traffic personnel distributed ISI-marked helmets to reinforce compliance and promote safer commuting.
