Jaipur: An Indian delegation led by social activist Nirmala Rawat will leave for Malaysia to participate in the upcoming Asian Paralympic Throwball Championships, which will be held from June 1 to 5, 2026, and will feature approximately 400 athletes from various countries.
Advocate Lalit Sharma will also be part of the delegation. He serves as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Olympic Games Throwball Federation. Lalit Sharma stated that this competition will provide a golden opportunity for athletes with disabilities to showcase their talent on an international stage.
Several prominent personalities including Laxman Rawat, Om Prakash Sharma, Prof Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Dr Seema Sharma, Dr Mamta Prajapati and Mahesh Sharma will also accompany the Indian delegation to Malaysia.
Social activist Nirmala Rawat said that sports are not only a means of competition, but also a symbol of self-confidence, discipline, and honor. She expressed confidence that Indian athletes will bring glory to the country in this competition.
