Actor Ajith Kumar returned to Chennai on Saturday following the passing of his mother, Mohini Mani. The actor had been reportedly in Dubai before returning home to be with his family during the difficult time. Following the news, several personalities from cinema and political circles visited his residence to extend support and offer condolences.Among those who visited Ajith Kumar's residence were actor-turned-politician Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan. Videos of Vijay arriving at Ajith's home surfaced online. The Tamil Nadu CM visited the residence to personally meet the actor and offer condolences.Visuals shared online showed Vijay greeting Ajith before entering the house and spending time with the grieving family. Trisha Krishnan was also seen visiting the residence and paying her respects.There has been speculation regarding whether Vijay and Trisha arrived together or visited separately.While certain clips on social media led many to believe that they reached together, other videos appeared to suggest otherwise. Some visuals showed both stars arriving in different vehicles.Mohini Mani passed away in Chennai on Saturday morning at the age of 89.The family later shared that she died peacefully in her sleep after experiencing health-related issues over a period of time.The family statement read, “Our mother, Mohini Mani, passed away early this morning, in her sleep, after a period of declining health. She was 89. We are grateful for the care and support provided to her and our family by a number of medical professionals these last few years.”The family also requested privacy while grieving and shared details regarding the final rites. The statement added, “Her last rites will be a private, family affair. We trust that all who have known the ache of losing a parent or a beloved elder will respect our wish to grieve quietly, honoring her memory with the same equanimity, dignity, and gentle strength she showed us every single day of her life.” The note was signed by Anup Kumar, Ajith Kumar, and Anil Kumar.Several well-known personalities shared messages after learning about Mohini Mani's passing.Veteran actor Kamal Haasan wrote on X, "I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr Ajith Kumar's mother, Mrs Mohini Mani. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Ajith Kumar and his family who are grieving the loss of their beloved mother."Vijay also expressed his grief and wrote, "I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Mrs Mohini Ammaiyar the mother of my dear friend Mr. Ajith Kumar.
