3 of family killed as SUV overturns in Balotra
Jaisalmer: A speeding Scorpio lost control and overturned on the Bharatmala Expressway near Asotara in Jasol police station area of Balotra Sunday, killing three members of a family and seriously injuring three others.Police said the injured were admitted to the district hospital in Balotra, where treatment is ongoing and the condition of some remains serious. The Jasol police station team reached the spot after receiving information and began relief and rescue operations with the help of local people. The injured were taken to hospital by ambulance and with assistance from people nearby.According to information received, the accident occurred on the Bharatmala Expressway on the Asotara-Kitnod border of Balotra district. Police said around a dozen people were travelling in the Scorpio. It was reported that the vehicle was moving at high speed when the driver lost control, causing it to overturn on the highway. The Scorpio was damaged in crash.Those travelling in the vehicle were identified as Ashok Bhai, Kamlesh Bhai, Ajmal, (35), Ajmal's brother Namulum, Hitesh Bhai, (32) and Ajmal's child, all residents of Thavar in Mehsana district of Gujarat. tnn
