Weather keeps fluctuating in city, light rain likely today
Indore: The city continued to witness changing weather conditions on Tuesday with partially cloudy skies and a gradual rise in night temperature.The day began with bright sunshine, but clouds gathered by the afternoon, leading to intermittent sunshine and overcast spells. The shifting sky cover kept temperature slightly unstable through the day. The maximum temperature was recorded at 31.4 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. The minimum temperature rose to 14 degrees Celsius, close to the seasonal average, from 12.6 degrees Celsius on Monday. North-easterly winds prevailed, reaching speeds of up to 15 kilometre per hour, according to Met.

Officials indicated the possibility of light thunderstorms in parts of the region during the afternoon hours. Brief spells of gusty winds and isolated rainfall are also expected in the city. Weather scientist Arun Sharma said there is a likelihood of light drizzle on Wednesday. An alert was issued for rainfall, thunder and lightning in 18 districts across the state.Met officials noted that a weak western disturbance expected around Feb 26 is unlikely to have a direct impact on Madhya Pradesh. While minor fluctuations in temperature may occur, no significant or widespread change in weather conditions is anticipated.Over the next two to three days, the weather is expected to remain largely normal and relatively dry. However, a gradual rise in day temperature is likely thereafter, which may increase the feeling of warmth during the afternoon hours.
