IDA clears 20 illegal structures to speed up TPS-4 Road construction
Indore: Indore Development Authority (IDA) removed 20 structures obstructing construction of a key road in Town Development Scheme (TPS) 4 on Wednesday. The action is expected to pave the way for a 30-metre-wide road connecting the bypass to Jhalaria.
The TPS-4 project, being developed across 200 hectares, is primarily a residential scheme, where infrastructure works like drainage and road construction are currently underway. A critical part of the scheme involves a 1,100-metre-long road. Illegal structures were being constructed on 200-metre stretch of the road for a long time.
On Wednesday, temporary tin sheds and several permanent concrete structures that were built on the proposed 30-metre-wide Master Plan road., were demolished.
IDA chief executive officer (CEO) Parikshit Zade told TOI that the structures had been hindering progress for a significant period. “This action will now allow completion of the 30-metre-wide road, which is essential for establishing a direct link between the bypass and Jhalaria,” he said.
