Indore/Jabalpur: Amid shortage woes, 62 LPG cylinders were seized across Indore, Khandwa and Jabalpur districts in Madhya Pradesh during multiple raids on Saturday.
Indore district supply controller ML Maru said three commercial cylinders and two domestic cylinders, which were stored illegally, were seized from the residence of Vinod Agrawal. At least 25 commercial and domestic LPG cylinders were seized from various locations in Indore.

In Khandwa, a joint task force of revenue and food departments raided a canteen, Tikkad, in the Civil Lines area on Friday night and seized 27 commercial LPG cylinders stored without valid documentation. The total market value of the seized cylinders was estimated to be Rs 1,71,237.
A joint team of Jabalpur administration and police seized 10 LPG cylinders, including six domestic and four commercial, and 47 gas booklets from the house of a gas hawker during a raid in Bhedaghat area.
Sources said the action was carried out in Jhinna Mohalla of Mirganj after authorities received a tip-off about suspected hoarding and illegal handling of LPG cylinders.
A preliminary inquiry suggested that the booklets belonged to residents of several nearby areas, including Jhinna Mirganj, Ama Hinota, Kudan, Shilpi Nagar, and Bhedaghat.
A case was registered against the accused under provisions of the Essential Commodities Act.
