Manipur BJP, N Biren Singh offer condolences

IMPHAL: Manipur unit BJP and chief minister N Biren Singh on Sunday condoled the demise of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar at the party’s headoffice in Imphal.
The party leaders, besides observing a two-minute silence to pray for the departed soul, also paid floral tribute to the portrait of the iconic singer, party sources said.
In his Facebook post, Biren said, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Didi.Today marks a sad day in the history of Indian Classical Music as Lata Didi hs left a void in our hearts. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family members and admirers. Om Shanti.”
