Hyderabad: BRS working president
KT Rama Rao accused chief minister A Revanth Reddy of bringing ‘bulldozer regime' to Telangana instead of the promised ‘Indiramma Rajyam'. He claimed that the BRS model had earlier proved that Musi beautification and rejuvenation could be taken up without demolishing a single house, whereas the Congress model involved razing 1.50 lakh houses for the project. He said the BRS was not opposed to Musi rejuvenation and development, but that it could be achieved without ‘destruction or chaos'.
KTR, along with party MLAs and former ministers, visited Nagole and spoke to some affected families. Later, addressing the media, KTR said the Congress govt had taken up ‘lootification' in the name of beautification of Musi. Lashing out at the CM for planning to demolish poor people's houses without any DPR, he said every BRS member and ‘KCR soldier' in Hyderabad would stand against the Congress bulldozers.

He criticised the govt for attempting to inflate a project that could be completed for Rs 16,000 crore to Rs 1.50 lakh crore. While supporting Musi beautification, KTR warned against harming the lives of millions under the guise of the project. He accused Revanth Reddy and Congress leaders of threatening poor residents while sparing those with illegal constructions.
He stated that the govt had marked houses with red signs and filed cases against residents without preparing any DPR for the project. KTR vowed to prevent the misuse of public funds and the demolition of poor people's houses for corrupt purposes. Earlier, KTR, along with other public representatives and senior party leaders, visited the STP in Nagole and then inspected the Musi model developed by the previous govt at Nagole Bridge, where they spoke with affected families.
