HYDERABAD: Twenty-four police personnel from the state have been awarded medals for meritorious service and gallantry by the Union government on Tuesday.
Additional director-general (DG), Intelligence, M Mahender Reddy and SP Intelligence Security Wing C Ramchander were awarded President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM).
Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service (IPM) has been awarded to 19 officials, including Vijayawada commissioner of police Amit Garg, DIG Intelligence N Bala Subramanyam, DIG Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) B Sivadhar Reddy, DIG Sikha Goel, and Guntur SP A Ravi Chandra.

Similarly, SIB inspectors K Easwar Reddy, J Mallikarjuna Varma and SIB head constable A Murali Mohan Reddy were awarded Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG).
