HYDERABAD: A passenger on an IndiGo Hyderabad–Udaipur flight was booked on Friday for photographing female cabin crew in an objectionable manner and misbehaving with a fellow passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The accused was deboarded and handed over to the police.According to a complaint filed by an IndiGo representative, Omprakash, the incident occurred at about 7.45 am on April 24 aboard flight 6E-6323 at the domestic terminal of RGIA. According to RGI Airport Outpost police, the passenger, identified as Praveen, a businessman from Tamil Nadu, was seated in 6B and was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

The complaint stated that the passenger zoomed in his mobile phone camera to take photographs of female crew members, focusing on their legs, faces and bodies. "The accused was also reported to have used foul and abusive language, while the passenger seated next to him complained about his behaviour," the complainant said.Despite multiple warnings from the cabin crew, the unruly passenger continued to behave in a manner that made others on board uncomfortable. He was also drunk, the complainant told police. The flight crew deboarded the passenger from the flight and handed him over to the RGI Airport outpost police.
Based on the complaint, RGI Airport police registered a case under Section 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the BNS."We have registered a case and issued a notice to the accused passenger as per law," RGI Airport SI K Harika said.
