HYDERABAD: Two men were burnt alive after their car rammed into a truck that had broken down and was parked near the road in the night without emergency markers or hazard lights near Velpur in Nizambad on Monday. The collision ruptured the car’s fuel tank, resulting in the fire and burning both the men alive, cops said.
B Sumanth (25), who was driving the car, was a lab technician based in Hyderabad and native of Korutla.

The other victim was his relative M Anil (25), a goldsmith from Vellulla in Metpalli mandal.
Cops said that Sumanth was in Metpalli to visit a relative and on Sunday night had gone to meet Anil. The accident happened around 1 am while the two were going to Armoor from Metpalli.
After hitting the right rear corner of the truck, the car veered to the right and crashed into a heap of mud near the road, Velpur SI K Vinay said. Police have registered a case of negligence against the truck driver.
