Saleem ahmed is feted for securing Haj Bhavan for Hubballi

Hubballi: Saleem Ahmed, the chief whip of state legislative council, was felicitated by religious leaders and activists in Hubballi on Sunday for working to secure the announcement of the construction of a Haj Bhavan in Hubballi by chief minister Siddaramaiah in the state budget. Religious leaders and office bearers said the Haj Bhavan was a long-standing dream of Kittur Karnataka. They said Ahmed listened to the people and worked to convey their demand to chief minister Siddaramaiah and the state govt. They described it as an important historic announcement and said Saleem Ahmed's work was commendable. Speaking after receiving the felicitation on this occasion, Saleem Ahmed said CM responded to his request and announced a Haj Bhavan in Hubballi. He said it would be of great convenience to pilgrims. Tajuddin Peer, Sajjad Naseem of Basha Peer Dargah, Hamid Koppad, the president of Uttara Karnataka Anjuman Islam Samiti, and others were present.
