Man, friend held for sexual assault of daughter

Raichur: A man and his friend were arrested following allegations of sexual assault made by a minor girl in Lingsugur town. According to police, the incident was reported from Janata Colony, where the minor girl lodged a complaint alleging that her father and his friend had been sexually abusing her for the past two years. Police said the girl stated in her complaint that her father had allegedly threatened her against revealing the matter to anyone, including her mother.Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Lingsugur police station and the accused were taken into custody on Saturday. An investigation is under way.
