Belagavi: The Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School for Girls, Kittur, has launched its first-ever comprehensive sports, cultural and art camp for cadets, scheduled from March 21 to 31, marking a significant step towards holistic education.
Conceptualised by principal Col Rahul Sharma, the initiative underscores the importance of balancing physical fitness with creative and intellectual growth to shape well-rounded individuals.
The camp is designed to foster leadership qualities, enhance sporting skills, and nurture talents in music, dance and visual arts. As an immersive programme, it aims to instil discipline, teamwork, confidence and creativity among students.
A diverse range of activities forms the core of the camp, including swimming, horse riding, skating, yoga, hockey, badminton, basketball and table tennis. Complementing these are cultural and art sessions, offering cadets a platform to explore and refine their artistic abilities.
The initiative reflects the institution's vision of nurturing confident, resilient and multifaceted girls by integrating physical endurance with creative expression and leadership development.
