Unidentified body recovered from Kalaktang river in Arunachal, cops seek help
Itanagar: Police at Kalaktang in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh have recovered the body of an unidentified middle-aged man from the Kalaktang river. Officer-in-charge HB Tator on Tuesday confirmed the recovery of the body and appealed to the public and police stations across the region to assist in identifying the deceased.The body was found at around 4 pm on Monday, trapped between stones in the middle of the river. Preliminary observations suggest drowning as the likely cause of death, though investigations are still underway.

Authorities described the deceased as a non-Arunachalee male, aged between 45 and 50 years, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a brownish complexion, beard, and moustache. He was wearing a black jacket, light brown long pants with a black belt, and light brown socks at the time of recovery.A case has been registered at Kalaktang Police Station under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Police have circulated alerts to all stations in Arunachal Pradesh and the wider Northeast to check for missing person reports matching the description.
