Guwahati students celebrate national science day
Guwahati: On the occasion of National Science Day 2026, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, organised a celebratory programme with active participation from school students on Saturday, reports Kangkan Kalita.A key highlight was the attendance of high school students from several local institutions. Along with attending the lectures, the students gained practical exposure to meteorological instruments through an open exhibition arranged within the office premises.

As part of the programme, RMC Guwahati staff screened a documentary paying tribute to leading women in Indian science and contributions by women from the northeast who improved community lives through scientific thinking and interventions.
