Workshop on cinema

PANAJI: The Institute of film and video technology, Mumbai, in association with Winika enterprises, Goa, will conduct a 10-day workshop on cinema and television production for aspiring film makers, media students and film lovers from August 16 to August 25. Award winning filmmaker and former director general, films division, Kuldeep Sinha, former dean (media) of Sagar University and film maker M K Shankar will be the faculty persons of the workshop, which will be organized at Pikalewadi, Colem, in Sanguem taluka.Chief minister Digambar Kamat will inaugurate the workshop while urban development minister, Joaquim Alemao will be the guest of honour. Computer awareness programme: Goa Science Centre will be organizing a computer awareness programme for the general public from August 10 to August 19. The programme will impart computer fundamentals etc. The timing will be from 3pm to 5pm and nominal fees will be charged for the course.
