A travel agent has been arrested for allegedly forging the signature of senior BJP parliamentarian Shahnawaz Hussain for confirming a waitlisted train ticket.

NEW DELHI: A travel agent has been arrested for allegedly forging the signature of senior BJP parliamentarian Shahnawaz Hussain for confirming a waitlisted train ticket.
The incident came to light on June 5 when Rajesh Verma, private secretary to Hussain, complained to police that someone had forged the MP’s letter head and signature to get a train ticket confirmed through emergency quota and submitted it to the divisional railway manager in Ambala.

A police team was sent to Nizamuddin station and the passengers of seat Nos. 35 and 36 of S3 on Golden Temple Mail said the ticket was confirmed by a travel agent, Gufran, in Matia Mahal. “They said they can identify the agent. A forgery case has been registered,” he said.
