Geelani bail hearing today

New Delhi: A trial court will on Friday hear the bail plea of former DU professor S A R Geelani who has been arrested under sedition charge.
Additional sessions judge Amit Bansal deferred the matter for Friday after noting that the judge, who was scheduled to hear the case on Thursday, was on leave.
Geelani, who has been in judicial custody for over a month, had moved bail on Wednesday claiming that the case had been "falsely foisted upon him".Earlier on February 19, a magisterial court had dismissed his bail application after the police said that he had generated "hatred" against the government.
