NEW DELHI: A 13-year-old boy was found murdered near a forested area in South Delhi’s Bhati Mines on Tuesday, a day after he was reported missing from the Maidan Garhi area.
Police said the boy’s parents, both labourers, approached the police station on Monday after the child disappeared, following which a kidnapping case and missing person report were registered. During the investigation, officers discovered that two other minor boys from the area were also untraceable.
The two juveniles were soon located and spoken to. During inquiry, they allegedly confessed to taking the boy to the Bhati Mines area, where they stabbed him to death over a trivial dispute. Based on their disclosure, police recovered the victim’s body from the forested location on Tuesday morning.
Both accused minors have been apprehended, and further investigation is underway.
