3 teens on way to attend wedding die as motorcycle hits truck in Uttarakhand
ROORKEE: Three minors, aged between 16 and 17, were killed late Tuesday night in a road accident near Manglaur when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a heavy-duty truck.Two of the victims died on the spot, while the third succumbed to his injuries at a hospital. The deceased have been identified as residents of Zabardastpur village under the Manglaur police station area.According to the police, the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on Tuesday. The victims — Mohammad Raqib (17), Ayan (16), and Mohammad Saqib (16) — were travelling on a motorcycle when it rammed into a heavy-duty capsule truck. All three sustained severe head injuries. Raqib and Ayan died instantly, while Saqib later died during treatment at the Civil Hospital.The trio was reportedly on their way to Roorkee to attend a wedding function.After completing the inquest proceedings and post-mortem formalities, the bodies were handed over to their family members. “Following the post-mortem, the bodies have been handed over to the families,” said SP (Rural) S.C Suyal.
