Chennai: Deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurated several completed projects and laid the foundation stone for a new project in areas under the Maduravoyal Assembly constituency on Sunday.In Valasaravakkam, he opened the 4.88-crore Kalaignar centenary walkway park that was created after restoring a lake on SVS Nagar first main road. He also opened a new modern Kalaignar centenary library building and women's skill development training centre, constructed under the Namakku Naame scheme at a cost of 2.71 crore on Chinna Porur Hospital road.

Later, he inaugurated a bridge constructed at a cost of 135.62 crore, with a four-lane carriageway and a length of 245m, connecting Poonamallee High road and Union road at Chinna Nolambur. The deputy chief minister also laid the foundation stone for projects worth 12.50 crore, including construction of a retaining wall along the Cooum riverbank in Nolambur, to a length of 890m, from the new bridge at Om Sakthi Nagar to the Nolambur Union Road crematorium.
