SALEM: All India NR Congress (AINRC) leader and Puducherry chief minister
N Rangasamy on Wednesday lauded Congress’s decision to support TVK president Vijay to form a govt in Tamil Nadu. “It is a good political decision in a situation where a govt has to be formed,” Rangasamy told reporters here.
Rangasamy’s AINRC is part of the NDA in Puducherry which retained power in the Union territory after winning 17 seats in the recent assembly election.
Before taking oath as chief minister for the fifth time, Rangasamy visited the Sri Sadhguru Appa Paithiyam Swamigal Temple in Salem Suramangalam and placed the list of ministers before the statue of the late sage.
The CM told reporters that he was confident that Puducherry would get statehood.
