Man arrested for filming woman inside restroom

Chennai: A 31-year-old man was arrested for secretly filming a woman inside a restroom with his mobile phone at a house in Guindy on Wednesday.The victim, a 23-year-old woman from Coimbatore, was working at a private firm in Chennai, and staying with friends in Guindy.On Wednesday morning the woman entered the bathroom and saw the man recording her through the window. When she came out and tried to seize the device, the man abused her and tried to take back the phone before fleeing the scene.Later, the woman found another phone left behind by the accused. She handed over both devices to the police and lodged a complaint.Police arrested the accused, Mullainathan, 31, from Thiruthuraipoondi in Tiruvarur district and remanded him in judicial custody.tnn
