KPL to go public in 2027

Chennai: Kamarajar Port Ltd (KPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chennai Port Authority (CPA), plans to launch its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2027. The port, located in north Chennai, will become the first government-owned major port in the country to go public.

According to KPL sources, the Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has granted in-principle approval for the proposed IPO.
