CHENNAI: Commuters on the Tiruttani–Arakkonam stretch are set to face disruptions over the next few weeks as Southern Railway has announced cancellations and partial curbs on EMU services due to ongoing engineering works.As part of the exercise, EMU train services will be fully cancelled between April 26 and May 16, 2026, railway sources said on Sunday.The cancelled services include the train departing Tiruttani at 21.15 hrs for Arakkonam and another train leaving Tiruttani at 21.10 hrs to Arakkonam.Similarly, the train leaving Arakkonam at 4 hrs to Tiruttani and another departing at 5 hrs for Tiruttani will remain cancelled from April 27 to May 17.In addition, train services have been partially cancelled between Tiruvalangadu and Arakkonam from April 26 to May 16.Railway sources further said that train services between Tiruttani and Tiruvalangadu were cancelled during the same period.
