Shots fired at IVF centre in Jalandhar; CCTV captures gunman in action
CHANDIGARH: Shots were fired at an IVF centre, which also houses the owner’s residence, in Mota Singh Nagar, Jalandhar, on Saturday night. This was the second such incident on consecutive nights.During the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, shots were fired at the residence of a veterinarian in Santokhpura locality of the city.

The CCTV footage showed that one helmet-wearing person came on a bike, fired the shots, and fled. The incident took place around 9.40 pm. Police officials reached the spot immediately after getting the information.DCP (Investigation) Manpreet Singh Dhillon said that IVF centre owner Varish Vardaan did not report any threat or extortion calls. He said that they would reach the accused.Two consecutive incidents created fear among the well-off families of Jalandhar. Shots were fired by two persons at the residence of veterinarian Dr Yashpal in the Santokhpura locality around 1.40 am during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
