Shimla: Governor (designate) Kavinder Gupta, who is scheduled to take the oath as the 30th governor of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, on Monday said that he would work for the welfare and progress of Himachal Pradesh by taking all sections of society along.
Gupta and his wife, Bindu Gupta, were accorded a warm reception on their arrival at Lok Bhavan in Shimla on Monday evening. "We will move forward collectively for the betterment of Himachal Pradesh. Perhaps I am the first person to receive such a promotion within seven months," said Gupta while interacting with the media persons. He said serving as governor is both a great responsibility and a challenge, and he would strive to fulfil it with dedication.
