Shimla: Several parts of Himachal Pradesh received light to moderate rainfall for the second successive day on Wednesday with mercury plummeting at most places in the state.
It rained in parts of Lahaul Spiti, Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur, Solan, Shimla, Chamba, Kangra and Kinnaur districts. The continuous rainfall for the second day brought down the maximum temperature by several degrees.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Shimla recorded the maximum temperature of 21.6℃, Manali 17℃, Kalpa 19.1℃, Bhuntar 20.4℃ and Tabo 17.5℃. Una recorded the highest maximum temperature of 35.8℃ – 1℃ below normal.
Kangra and Mandi recorded maximum temperatures of 29.8℃ and 26.8℃, respectively. Kukumseri in Lahaul Spiti recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 5.6℃.
The weather department has predicted rainy weather in the state till May 5.
