Chandigarh: A youth from Punjab heading to Manikaran in Kullu district died in a road accident in Bilaspur district on the Chandigarh-Manali highway on Wednesday.
According to police, Gurpratap Singh, a resident of Moga, died after he lost control of his motorcycle, which collided with a parapet near Baghed village. Gurpratap was rushed to a nearby govt hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead. Amarjot Singh, the pillion rider, also suffered injuries in the accident, police said.

Notably, it is the third such death in the past one week.
Meanwhile, another Punjab youth died in Manikaran after he fell ill. According to a police officer, the deceased was identified as Mandeep Singh, a resident of Moga. The officer said the victim was taken to a local hospital in Jari village, where doctors declared him brought dead.
