Police rescue kidnapped UP schoolboy in Rohtak, 3 accused arrested
CHANDIGARH: The special detective unit of Haryana police Police claimed to have safely resecued rescued and recovered a schoolboy who was kidnapped for ransom from Baberu, Banda disrict district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
Acting swiftly, the SDU unit safely recovered the boy and restored his custody to the UP team. Haryana police Police also arrrester arrested three persons from Rohtak in the case.
According to information, UP Police shared information that on May 7, a resident of Baberu, Banda, filed a complaint about the kidnapping of his 10-year-old son at school, which who was not found when he went there to pick him up.
Acting swiftly, police immediately took action in the matter, registered a case against unknown youths on charges of kidnapping the 10-year-old child, and commenced an investigation.
As the investigations investigation team got the tip -off that the accused were hiding in Rohtak, Uttar Pradesh Police contacted Haryana Police.
Accordingly, a team from Rohtak Police's Special Detective Unit (SDU), led by Inspector Naveen Jakhar, made relentless efforts to arrest the accused and recover the child safely.
The team conducted a raid and recovered the child safely from Sheela Bypass, Rohtak. During the same operation, 3 accused involved in the kidnapping of the child were also successfully apprehended from the spot.
The accused have been identified as Ramji, son of Madanlal, resident of Uttar Pradesh; Sumit, son of Ramnath, resident of Sitapur, Lucknow, currently residing at Sector-4, Rohtak; and Anish, son of Jitendra, resident of village Bohar, Rohtak.
The accused apprehended by the SDU team have were been handed over to the Uttar Pradesh Police team. Uttar Pradesh Police is investigating the matter.
