Shimla: Revenue and horticulture minister Jagat Singh Negi on Monday directed the revenue officials to resolve all pending cases of land lease within one month.Negi held a meeting with revenue officers of Kumarsain and Kotgarh in Shimla district to address long-pending land issues in the region. The minister highlighted that under various land allotment schemes, leases were granted nearly 50 years ago. However, in many cases, the mutation in revenue records was never completed.

In some instances, although leases were approved and premiums (nazrana) were paid, the official lease documents were never issued, he added.Noting that local residents raised these concerns, Negi directed revenue officials to resolve all pending cases within one month.
