Man attacked with stone pillar during brawl, dies
Hisar: A 45-year-old man was killed after he was allegedly attacked with a stone pillar following a minor altercation in Bhaklana village of Hansi district. Deceased Rajesh alias Raju, a resident of Bhaklana village, was allegedly murdered by Aman alias Nika, a resident of the same village, said police. Cops have since arrested Nika.According to police, a case was initially registered at Bass police station under charges of attempted murder, based on a complaint filed by the deceased's brother, Kamal. However, after Rajesh succumbed to his injuries, the charge of murder was added to the case.

In his complaint, Kamal, a farmer, stated that on Feb 10 at around 8:30 pm, he received a call from a villager, Kulbir, informing him that his brother was injured and was lying near the veterinary hospital on Mohalla Road. Upon reaching the spot, he found Rajesh lying on the ground with severe head injuries and bleeding. Kulbir told him that Aman allegedly picked up a stone pillar during a quarrel and attacked Rajesh on the face and head. When Kulbir tried to intervene, the accused reportedly threatened him and fled the scene after Rajesh collapsed.Injured Rajesh was first taken to a hospital in Jind, and later admitted to a private hospital, where he died during treatment. Police said the post-mortem examination was conducted at Civil Hospital, Jind, and the body was handed over to the family. Further investigation is under way. MSID:: 128211124 413 |
