Drone hub in Hisar, auto unit in Sonipat: Hry approves policy to boost investment & jobs
Chandigarh: The Haryana govt on Tuesday approved a series of major industrial projects and incentive packages aimed at boosting investment, manufacturing capacity and employment generation across the state. The decisions were taken during the 19th review meeting of the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Board (HEPB) held in New Delhi. CM Nayab Saini chaired the meeting.The meeting focused on granting special incentive packages and relief measures to industrial units under the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020. The approved projects are expected to attract significant investments and create hundreds of job opportunities for local youth.The incentive packages were cleared by the HEPB based on recommendations made by the Executive Empowered Committee headed by the principal secretary to the chief minister. Haryana industries and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh also attended the meeting. Among the major approvals, BEUMER India Private Ltd received a special incentive package worth Rs 43.05 crore to establish a modern intralogistics systems manufacturing facility in Jhajjar district. The project is expected to generate employment for 138 people.AITMC Ventures Ltd was granted an incentive package of Rs 58.51 crore for setting up a drone and drone components manufacturing hub in Hisar district. The project is expected to strengthen Haryana's defence and aerospace manufacturing sector while creating jobs for around 800 youth. Abhiuday Print Industries Private Ltd received approval for a Rs 31.68 crore package to expand advanced packaging materials manufacturing, generating employment for 105 people. Similarly, Mark Exhaust Systems Ltd was sanctioned Rs 39.95 crore to establish an auto components manufacturing unit in Jhajjar district, creating 123 jobs.Canpack India was also approved for an incentive package of Rs 35.21 crore to expand its aluminium can manufacturing capacity in Mewat district. In another significant decision, Subros Ltd was granted Rs 89.91 crore to set up an auto components manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, Sonipat, expected to create 215 jobs. Jai Bharat Maruti Ltd also received a Rs 43.76 crore incentive package for expansion in the automobile sector.The board additionally approved a revised incentive package of Rs 157.83 crore for Kandhari Beverages Private Ltd and granted ATL Battery Technology (India) Private Ltd a one-year extension for its lithium-ion battery manufacturing project in Nuh district.
