BJP faces protest in Sampla civic election campaign

Rohtak: In the ongoing Sampla civic polls, BJP state vice-president Satish Nandal faced protests while campaigning for the party's candidate for the chairman post on Monday. As per details, Nandal reached the a locality in Sampla late at night to seek votes for BJP candidate Praveen Coach. However, he was met with strong opposition from local residents. Protesters raised slogans against both the BJP and Nandal, and reportedly did not allow him to step out of his vehicle, forcing him to return without completing his outreach.Voters expressed dissatisfaction, alleging that despite 11 years of BJP rule and previous BJP chairpersons, basic civic amenities remain inadequate. Rebel candidates, who are contesting independently after being denied BJP tickets, have also criticised the party. They remarked that such opposition might have been avoided if the party had fielded a grassroots worker instead of its current candidate.Meanwhile, BJP leaders dismissed the protest, claiming that those involved were supporters of the Congress party.
